About Me

I live life loud and in color, that essentially defines me. I have quiet moments that fuel my soul, that recharge me, but chaos is typically the mode of the day.

I’m a homemaking wife to, quite simply, a great guy. I could wax poetic (well, I could ramble at least) about how he’s my love, my anchor… He ‘gets’ me, he caters to my needs and my wants… Amen.

I’m homeschooling mama to two teenage hooligans. What a joy-filled, amazing adventure my life as a mom is! Utterly amazing.

We’re school-free, we spend our days and nights living and learning, loving every minute of life—living them all to the fullest.

We believe there is no ‘frivolous’ activity, it’s all for the enjoyment, enrichment and love of life and learning.

That means our son’s reading of WWII books is as important as his video game playing, our daughter’s drawing of Mermaid Melody characters is as important as her um ‘experiments’. Yeah, lotsa those around here.

That means that Husband o’ mine’s newspaper reading, info surfing or yard tending is as important as his fantasy baseball or fishing. That means my taking pictures, mopping the floor or cooking a meal is as important as puttering with my laptop or eating freshly-made ranch dressing/dip. That means late nights on the computer or reading a book or watching Mythbusters or looking for shooting stars or…are all just as important as rising in the morning for the babysitting gig.

We babysit four precious toddlers and have since each of their births. They sure do teach us lots lol. Three rambunctious boys and a wee girlie, all mobile and very busy, so much to do ya know!

I’m smitten with my family, with photography and babies. I also love to read, write, cook, take walks and back road drives of discovery.

I love pasta, bread and cheese–toss some olives n pepperoni in there n we’re gold ;)

Why do I blog? For the sheer fun of it, lately for playing with other photojunkies. I read other blogs for seeing glimpses into other folks’ lives, seeing their stories, their recipes and their photography…a rich tapestry of folks out here.
